Film & Media Studies professor John Tibbetts donated this and many other interviews to the CSSF. This conversation with Bloch took place at the fifteenth World Fantasy Convention in 1990, which celebrated H.P. Lovecraft. Bloch was a member of the Lovecraft Circle, and was mentored by him.

Bloch is best known for writing Psycho, but he has many horror, supernatural, and science fiction stories to his credit, including "Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper," an episode of Star Trek, "Wolf in the Fold," and many short stories over the years. In this episode, he talks about his association with Lovecraft, working in television, and his views on the state of the industry at that time.
